Zambia Healthy Workers 2026 Recruitment Lists 3,205 Workers
Civil Service Commission Chairperson, Choolwe Beyani, has announced that 2,205 of the newly recruited health workers are fresh appointments.
He explained that an additional 1,000 positions have been created to replace staff lost through natural attrition, such as retirements, deaths, and resignations.
Dr. Beyani added that 10 percent of the available positions have been reserved for persons with disabilities.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today, the Chairperson stated that all successful candidates must collect their appointment letters in person.
He emphasized that health workers will be required to present their National Registration Cards at the designated provincial centres.
The collection exercise will run from Monday, 20th April 2026, to Thursday, 30th April 2026.
Dr. Beyani issued a firm warning that any applicant who fails to report to their assigned work station by the stipulated deadline, without prior notice, will be considered to have declined the offer.
In such cases, the Commission will promptly replace them with other qualified candidates.
Additionally, he revealed that the Commission has effected 2,149 promotions and transfers within the same period.
Dr. Beyani further noted that the recruitment of cholera volunteers is still ongoing.
